Understanding the Persian GCSE Framework
To achieve a Grade 9, you must master four distinct papers. Each component evaluates a specific linguistic skill and contributes 25% to your final result.

What Topics are Covered in the Persian GCSE?
The examination is based on five official themes. Throughout our course, we ensure you have the vocabulary and grammar necessary to discuss these topics fluently in all four papers.
- Identity and Culture: Family, friends, hobbies, interests, and daily life in Persian-speaking communities.
- Local, National, International, and Global Areas of Interest: Travel, town, neighborhood, and social/global issues (e.g., environment and charities).
- Current and Future Study and Employment: School life, subjects, and future career plans.
- Personal Life and Relationships: Relationships with family and friends, and future aspirations.
- Social Activities and Iranian Traditions: Festivals, food, and cultural celebrations (like Nowruz and Yalda).
Examiner’s Tip
To score high in Persian GCSE, you must show that you can link these themes to your own personal experiences using a variety of tenses (past, present, and future).

نکته کنکوری

Choosing the Right Level: Foundation or Higher?
When registering for the Persian GCSE, you must decide which “Tier” is most suitable for your current level. This decision is crucial as it determines the maximum grade you can achieve.
- Foundation Tier:
- Grades Available: 1 to 5. (If you perform exceptionally well, 5 is the highest grade you can get).
- Who is it for? Students who are less confident in their writing and complex reading but want to secure a solid pass.
- Higher Tier:
- Grades Available: 4 to 9. (If you do not meet the minimum marks for Grade 4, you may receive an “U” or unclassified).
- Who is it for? Heritage speakers and advanced learners aiming for top grades (7, 8, or 9) for their university applications.
Important: In the Persian GCSE, you must take the same tier for all four papers. You cannot mix Foundation for Writing and Higher for Listening.

The Persian GCSE is a UK-recognized qualification for students (usually Year 10 or 11) to certify their Farsi language skills. It is perfect for heritage speakers who speak Farsi at home and want an official Grade 9 for their academic records.
