A common question among students is: “I have prepared a specific Chosen Topic for my Persian Speaking exam, but when do I actually talk about it?” Based on the Pearson Edexcel Specification, your choice plays a specific role in the assessment.
1. Which part of the exam covers my nominated topic?
Your chosen topic is used exclusively in Task 3 (Conversation). This is the final part of your Speaking exam.
2. How does the conversation start?
- The Opening: Task 3 begins specifically with the topic you nominated in advance.
- One-Minute Presentation: To help you start confidently, your teacher will allow you to talk about your chosen topic for up to one minute uninterrupted. This is your chance to shine!
3. Will the board ask me about other things?
Yes. It is important to know that you are only in control of one portion of the exam:
- Task 1 & 2: The Role Play and Picture-based Task topics are allocated by Edexcel; you won’t know these until your preparation time on the day.
- Part 2 of the Conversation: After discussing your chosen topic in Task 3, the teacher must switch to a second, different theme allocated by Pearson to ensure a broad assessment.
Pro Tip: You must finalize your topic choice with your teacher at least two weeks before the assessment takes place.

بسیاری از شما میپرسید: «من که وقت گذاشتم و یک موضوع (Topic) خاص را برای امتحان Speaking آماده کردم، کجای امتحان باید از آن استفاده کنم؟» طبق ضوابط رسمی ادکسل (Pearson Edexcel)، این موضوع فقط در یک بخش خاص کاربرد دارد. ۱. موضوع انتخابی من مربوط به کدام تسک است؟
موضوعی که شما از قبل انتخاب کردهاید، فقط در تسک ۳ (Conversation) یعنی بخش مکالمه آزاد پرسیده میشود. این بخش آخرین مرحله از امتحان مکالمه شماست.
۲. در شروع این بخش چه فرصتی دارم؟
- شروع مکالمه: بخش سوم امتحان دقیقاً با موضوع انتخابی شما آغاز میشود.
- یک دقیقه طلایی: معلم به شما اجازه میدهد تا حداکثر یک دقیقه بدون وقفه درباره جنبههای مختلف موضوعی که آماده کردهاید صحبت کنید. این بهترین زمان برای نشان دادن تسلط و استفاده از لغات پیشرفته است.
۳. آیا بقیه امتحان هم درباره همین موضوع است؟
خیر! شما باید برای تمهای دیگر هم آماده باشید چون:
- تسک ۱ و ۲: موضوعات Role Play و توصیف تصویر کاملاً توسط ادکسل انتخاب میشوند و شما در انتخاب آنها نقشی ندارید.
- بخش دوم مکالمه: در همان تسک ۳، بعد از صحبت درباره موضوع شما، معلم باید موضوع را عوض کرده و درباره یک تم متفاوت که توسط ادکسل تعیین شده با شما صحبت کند.
یادآوری مهم: شما باید موضوع انتخابی خود را حداقل دو هفته قبل از امتحان با معلمتان نهایی کنید.
